Hello my name is Nolan and this is my Portfolio.

This site is my production portfolio, a space where I break down games through the lens of development systems design, and execution. Rather than looking at games in the eyes of a review or consumer of games I want to look at them as a producer.

I hold a degree in Game Design and have published both physical and digital games to some success. So I know what it’s like to ship a game from concept to launch. This portfolio site is an extension of that training as well as a space where I can continue to grow.

My end goal is to build the practical skills required of a game producer. In the future you may see posts about road mapping and milestone planning, feature scoping, risk assessment, postmortem analysis, case studies for patch notes and more.

Every game, no matter how small or poorly received, offers insight and production lesions. Flaws can be deeper than the average consumer knows, like scope management, prioritization, and even in some cases scraping and restarting games during development.

This site documents my journey as I transition from academic training into professional production. Applying structured thinking, documentation practices, industry tools and more with hypothetical examples and real world case studies.

I am early in my career, but I am ambitious for where it will take me. This portfolio showcases exactly that.
